AMAZING! SIMPLY AMAZING DOCTOR!! I firmly believe in giving credit where credit is due. With both my children I went to Dr. Van Der Merwe. His staff is very professional and very friendly and welcoming when you visit their rooms. Dr Van Der Merwe himself is very knowledgeable and answered all my millions of questions. He was caring and concerned about my well being from start to end, he always goes the extra mile. He takes you through the entire process and explains the necessary documentation and what it all entails. With my first pregnancy he administered my epidural and all went smooth, he talked me through delivery and what to do and what not, again, simply amazing. With my second pregnancy - and that too during lockdown - I gave normal birth with induction and again, he explained all in detail, I knew exactly what to expect and when. I would highly recommend Dr Van Der Merwe to any women, yes he is male but let me tell you, I felt so much more comfortable with him than any other female doctor ever. After birth, the follow-up was also amazing and again, he literally goes the extra mile!!

Excellent DR - sensitive to your every need - makes you feel very comfortable - had all 3 my kids delivered by him - engages in discussions & is very accommodating - NB always available when you need him/returns your call ...Definitely goes the extra mile..
