Good day My experience was as follows with Doctor Erasmus This was my first time visiting her as my previous doctor was no longer at the practice. I entered the room and was greeted. She asked how she can help. I proceeded to inform doctor I needed a new prescription and I also wasn't feeling well. She said she did check the system and the last time I visited the doctor was in April, Dr. van Deventer. Immediately thereafter she said April was a long time ago. I was surprised and asked her, was it not June. She said no, it was April. I tried to explain that I think it was June and I am aware that my prescription expires after 6 months. I got 1 months stock from Clicks. She said they weren't supposed to help me and are supposed to call my doctor. She doesnt give patients a chance to speak and feels like she wants to be right and force her opinion on the patient. I feel that she did not hear me out. She's not approachable, and she interrupts a patient while they are talking. I feel like she attacks a person. She said to me I must come for a check-up every year, like an instruction, not a suggestion. I feel I will come when I feel the need to do so. I also asked the doctor why she is prescribing me Stilpayne, and no cough medicine she said there is "something" in the medication that will make the cough stop while Genpayne will cause my organs damage. Again, I feel I'm the patient and want to understand my symptoms and prescribed medication so the doctor could have explained better. I didn't feel comfortable asking her anything further. As I mentioned, I felt she's unapproachable. I will not consult with her again. I feel she needs to practice a bit more empathy and be humble as well as give patients an opportunity to express themselves before she jumps at them and makes them feel like she knows better.

Dr Erasmus takes time to examine you. She is a great listener and a great physician. She takes note of everything that you tell her about how you feel and guide accordingly
