Dr Bester was amazing. Always on time and prioritizes her patients, attending to all issues and answering all questions. I have been searching for a GYN that makes me feel comfortable and at ease, especially because hubby and I are planning to have a baby. I would not feel more comfortable and safe with anyone else.

I'm so highly impressed with Dr. Suretha Bester. After Diagnosing my partner with Myomectomy within 48hrs the procedure took place professionally and within 3 and 1/2 days the operation would get better, she began to exercise. Now we are happy, well and healthy. Wow! I'm grateful for the results.

This is the 3rd year since I switched to Dr Bester since I found that my own Gynaes focused more on delivering babies than on menopausal women. If you have an appointment for a certain time, you can be assured that is the time you are going to see her. This works well for me, who works in the Corporate environment where time management is essential. Yesterday I had my annual which coincided with an issue I raised. Dr Bester immediately picked it up on the scan and booked me in for emergency D&C and Hysteroscopy. Dr Bester and both her assistants were wonderful. Also the Netcare staff were sensitised with my issue and assisted effectively and swiftly. She treated me end to end and even provided for the follow-up and after operation care.

I was in tears, as I phoned one gynae after another to try to find an emergency appointment for the same day. Eventually I came across Dr Bester who was also fully booked, but her receptionist squeezed me inbetween appointments. What an awesome doctor! She did a scan, explained the problem to me in detail with photos an in an easy to understand manner. I was booked in for surgery that same afternoon and I can’t say that I was treated with anything but the utmost professionalism, compassion and kindness. I’m so glad that I found her. It was by chance, but I’ll definitely continue to go to her.

Dr Laker has been my Gynie for a few years now & she is brilliant! I find that she takes her responsibility as a doctor very seriously and uses all medical information and means to her advantage to best treat each of her patients. She was the doctor who brought my little girl into the world 3 years ago and she endured that during my pregnancy that I had support in all avenues. Starting with a host of blood work to ensure she understood my allergies, and levels of everything imaginable. Every visit she would check items identified as a possible risk criteria with blood work and in the physical examination. I also appreciated she didn't discuss birthing options until I was ready to have the discussion. I never felts forced into a decision. In the end I asked if possible for natural birth and Suretha helped me with in a risk appropriate manner to help achieve this. A lot of my friend had asked for a natural brother but none of them had received the half of medical assistance as I. (Sadly most of my friends had to have a c section) Surethas approach however enabled me to achieve this within medical acceptable risk. Starting with having me being booked into hospital the night before "actual birth date" and 1:00 am of my first evening I got my first induction and again at 6:00 am. I also got a sedative that evening to help me rest. At 9:00 am I hadn't made much progress and Suretha broke my water and put me on a drip to help with bring contractions. All while having Skye's heart monitor even before we started. Now this is a very summaries version of what transpired but Suretha helped me how she could within medically acceptable risk scenario. I was able to have Skye normally! However my story doesn't end there. Post care Suretha doesn't drop you. She was always available to see me within a reasonable amount of time. Surethas office /patient care has been taken to a whole different level. She has a sister permanently on duty to take your questions, help with some general medical questions or getting Surethas attention should you have a serious issue. As normal none pregnant patients you can phone the sister and help is always soon to follow which Suretha has approved. With all this said your file at Suretha's actually serves a purpose as each visit she knows where last you focus and where to focus again. Suretha picked up that I had basically no iron in my blood based on blood work she order armed with the knowledge of our discussions and history. Suretha sister called me and had provided me with a script and instructions where to go, which doctor to see to have my iron drips administered. Suretha was also kept a breast or my progress during this task. This year I relocated to CPT and phoned complaining of pain. Suretha was unable to refer me so again I got a letter with instructions of were to go and once I got the report from the scans I did to have it sent to her for further analysis. My complete experience of Suretha is she takes her responsibilities to her patients very seriously and ensures she stays a breast of the latest and greatest medical knowledge to help her patients. If your looking for a real doctor whom you can stake your life on, your child's and unborn children life on I will look no further.
