I have consulted in private practice in Claremont, Cape Town, South Africa since 1987. Having qualified both as an Internist and an Endocrinologist in 1986, the scope of my work has involved both these specialties. Initially, in the first 10 years of practice the scope of my work included most areas of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Executive Medical examinations, ICU admissions, hospital consultations for acute medical conditions, Insurance Medicals and Medico-legal and Disability work.

Since mid-2003 I have limited the scope of my work as a Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist to include general aspects of Diabetic Care and its complications, Endocrine disorders, obesity, Executive Medical examinations, preventative non-invasive cardiology, problems of Blood Pressure control and abnormalities of Lipid metabolism. I also have an interest in Medico-Legal work, Insurance Medicals and Disability Assessments.

My consultation is thorough and includes a careful medical history, examination, and when necessary, lung function, ECG and Stress ECG testing, specific side room investigations, referral to the Pathology laboratory for various blood tests and for X-rays.
